Children’s’ Rhyme Two

Colyne Stewart
July AS XXXVII (2003)

Down came a white Wolf
From its mountain lair
All its teeth were vicious
But its coat was fair

It wandered through the wide world
Slaughtering its foe
A flock of giant black birds
Went where it did go

It fought the mighty Dragon
It beat a Tygre too
Took a Stag and Falcon
And cooked them in a stew

Everywhere the Wolf went
People quaked in fear
You just can’t beat the Great Wolf
Of northern Ealdormere
